Cyber Security Summer: Beach or Breach?

While some dream of kicking back and switching off, Cyber Criminals have their eyes on their prize, too – the business information it’s taken you many years to build up. So, this month we’re looking at two new ways to keep you ‘data safe’ this holiday season: a new operating system and a rock-solid password protector.

1/ Feature-focused Windows 11.

In less than 12 months’ time, Microsoft pulls the plug on Windows 10. So, upgrade to Windows 11 before the big switch off. The new OS is full of security upgrades, with additional functionality and tools. You may also get a free upgrade, thanks to Sprint. Call us to find out.

2/ Constant threat, perpetual defence.

Because hacking is a 24/7, 365 day-a-year activity, Windows 11 is on constant watch for malware, Trojans, and phishing attempts. From booting up to shutting down, Windows 11 is in sync with your hardware and software applications. It’s pre-loaded with multiple protection layers to keep you secure.

3/ Microsoft Defender Antivirus.

These solutions include Defender Antivirus, Microsoft’s next-generation protection tool, an always-on antivirus protection. This solution unites machine learning, big-data analysis, in-depth threat resistance research, and the Microsoft cloud infrastructure to protect your devices and endpoints. More here

5/ Microsoft SmartScreen Defender.

This is a new wave of anti-phishing and anti-malware support: Microsoft Defender SmartScreen protects users from sites known to have hosted phishing attacks or for attempting to distribute malicious software. It also helps protect against deceptive advertisements, scam sites, and drive-by attacks. More here.

6/ Smart App Control.

This solution, exclusive to Windows 11, provides additional security by only permitting the installation of apps with good reputations. If your responsibilities include network security, and you worry about what your workers are downloading to their machines, you’ll appreciate the additional protection. More here.

7/ Password Manager: It’s a Keeper.

Saving passwords to your browser is quick and easy. Which means if’s straightforward to hack, too. So, look beyond that. Keeper Password Manager generates high-strength, random passwords for secure online storage and on demand sharing. Sprint are happy to offer this product to our customers, perhaps as part of a Windows 11 upgrade, too. Get in touch.

8/ Would you like to upgrade?

As welcome on your holiday flight as when you’re back to the office, Sprint are upgrading clients with suitable equipment to Windows 11 and offering everyone else a free software upgrade to support the purchase of compatible IT. We’ll even recycle your unsupported IT equipment via WEEE transfer. It’s the hassle-free way to improve what you do, for free.
